Rosemoor Gardens – Great Torrington – this Royal Horticultural Society garden is acclaimed by gardeners throughout the world, but you don't have to be a keen gardener to appreciate its beauty and diversity. Dartmoor National Park – a beautiful moorland landscape with wooded valleys and windswept tors covering 368 square miles. The public is able to roam freely on unenclosed, open moorland on both foot and horseback. There are also about 600 miles of public rights of way. Dartmoor is a rich habitat for wildlife and has a wealth of archaeological remains.
Exmoor National Park – this park extends over 265 square miles of coastal land, hills, moors and woods, which provide excellent hiking opportunities across wild landscape and among the stone circles and ruins of ancient inhabitants.
