Nine stunning cottages set in 30 acres of private grounds

Whatever the season, you'll find a warm welcome awaits you at family-run Newhouse Farm Cottages, a rural retreat of 9 cottages set in 30 acres of courtyard gardens, organic fields and woodland in the heart of Devon. The Grade II listed stone barns have been converted to a high standard without losing the character of the buildings, which are full of original features such as stone walls, exposed wooden beams and roof trusses.

Our award-winning cottages are 5* rated by our guest reviews on Trip Advisor as well as being highly commended in the Visit Devon Tourism Awards. We’re an accredited Dark Sky Friendly Business with Exmoor National Park and thousands of stars, constellations and even the Milky Way are clearly visible from the skies above us.

Whether you're looking for a romantic break, a memory-making family holiday or a friends and family get-together, Newhouse Farm Cottages is the perfect venue. We can sleep up to 47 guests at any one time, have a wheelchair accessible barn (The Linhay) and we're dog friendly too. For large groups our function room, The Hayloft, is available for dining, meeting and partying, which means that everyone can come together when they want and return to the privacy of their own cottage for rest and relaxation when needed!

If you're looking for a venue for your corporate team-building event, a sports club tour, or a yoga or holistic retreat please do get in touch and we'll do our very best to accommodate your requirements.

Debbie, Stuart, Keith and Doreen look forward to welcoming you to Newhouse Farm Cottages at any time of the year for a holiday or short break.

Trip Advisor Review - August 2020

“We stayed in Willow and enjoyed a very relaxing break. The owners were brilliant from the moment we booked and kept us informed with all the changes that had to be made for COVID. The cottage was cosy, the pool booking system was brilliant and we made use of it every day. The kids loved the play equipment and the safety of the place. Would definitely recommend for a great family holiday."

An idyllic setting in the heart of rural Devon

Situated in the heart of Devon, just outside the village of Witheridge, Newhouse Farm Cottages is a rural retreat offering a great base from which to explore the whole of the county.

Set amidst unspoilt countryside Newhouse Farm Cottages offers a sense of incomparable peace and unrivalled tranquillity from the moment you arrive. Footpaths wind steeply down to the lake and tributary of the Little Dart River, offering quiet corners and picnic spots. As the land isn't actively farmed and is free from pesticides and fertilisers, we have an abundance of wildlife – including resident barn owls, badgers, hares and deer.
